Scholes concern

Paul Scholes, who scored the vital goal against Barcelona last season to send United marching on to Moscow, has stated that he is concerned about United's trip to Anfield due to the International break that has dismantled the team's preperations.

Scholes, who retired from the International game aged 29 in 2004, has admitted that anything is now possible at Anfield as the two teams enter the game hoping for the best.

The midfielder was quoted as saying "There have been four or five of us training and that does disrupt it massively - especially when we have an early kick-off on Saturday. We (the whole group) will get an hour of training probably on Friday. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't. We will just have to wait and see on Saturday. It's the same for every team. Liverpool have a lot of players out, Chelsea will have every player out as well."

Scholes was also in a humourous mood commenting on all the 'running' the younger midfielders now do for him. He was quoted as saying "It's good having the youngsters in because they can do all the running for you. You can just sit and pass the ball to them and off they go!"
