Fergie: We'll Bounce Back

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is adamant that the 2-1 defeat at Liverpool on the weekend will not cause a crisis in confidence amongst his squad.

United looked off the pace for much of the game, and in the end they were forced to watch as their arch rivals clearly relished celebrating managing to snap their long-standing drought against them.

"You have to recover, that's the name of the game," Ferguson told Sky Sports News the day after the game.

Rather than dwell on the result, which left them in 14th place with just four points to show from their first three games, Ferguson preferred to shift the focus to the upcoming match against Villarreal.

"It's the Champions League and I think we are in a good group and I think we have a good chance of qualifying," he stressed.

"The way I look at the Champions League is to get to 10 points.

"If you get that you know you have qualified and you can look forward to February when it really starts to kick in."
